PLANNING, MONITORING AND EVALUATION UNIT 

The Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) Unit of Nyamasheke District plays a central role in ensuring effective planning, implementation, and performance tracking of District programs and projects. The Unit provides the following services:

1. Integrated Development Planning

  • Develop guidelines for integrated district planning and ensure compliance across all departments and sectors.
  • Provide technical support in the development of strategies that align district priorities with national policies and District Council decisions.

    2. Monitoring and Performance Tracking

  • Monitor the implementation of the District Strategic Plan, Action Plans, and Imihigo.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations for improvement, adjustment, or completion of programs and projects.

    3. Reporting and Data Management

  • Coordinate and supervise the consolidation of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation reports from various District units and sectors.
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and timely reporting.

    4. Stakeholder Engagement and Participation

  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen collaboration with development partners and stakeholders.
  • Promote inclusive participation in planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation processes.

    5. Advisory and Coordination Services

  • Provide strategic advice to District leadership on planning, monitoring, and evaluation matters.
  • Participate in the District Technical Coordination Committee and support coordinated decision-making.
