FINANCE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UNIT – SERVICES
The Finance and Economic Development Unit of Nyamasheke District ensures sound financial management, budgeting, and sustainable economic growth. The Unit provides the following key services:
1. Planning, Budgeting, and Performance Management
- Coordinate planning, budgeting, implementation of activities, and performance reporting of the Unit.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, including preparation of financial statements and budget execution reports.
2. Financial Strategy and Resource Mobilization
- Develop and implement actionable strategies to localize national policies and District Council decisions related to finance and economic development.
- Promote resource mobilization to support District priorities and programs.
3. Budget Preparation and Cash Flow Management
- Supervise the preparation of the District’s annual budget in collaboration with all departments and units.
- Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of periodic cash flow plans and fund requests to ensure efficient financial operations.
4. Payment Processing and Financial Control
- Coordinate the processing of payments for goods and services delivered to the District by private operators.
- Verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of payment requests before funds are disbursed.
5. Advisory and Coordination Services
- Provide strategic advice to District leadership on financial sustainability and economic development.
Participate in the District Technical Coordination Committee and support informed decision-making.
